Southern Properties Rentals was founded on a simple belief: property owners deserve a management partner who treats their investment with the same care and attention they would themselves. For more than 15 years, we have served rental property owners throughout Sanford, NC and the surrounding areas building a reputation rooted in honesty, consistency, and results.
We are a full-service property management company, which means owners don't have to piece together separate vendors for leasing, maintenance, accounting, and tenant relations. Our team handles it all under one roof, using proven systems and local market knowledge refined over more than a decade in this industry. That experience allows us to anticipate challenges before they arise and respond quickly when they do.
What sets us apart is not just what we do, but how we do it. We believe in clear communication, fair treatment of both owners and tenants, and a level of accountability that our clients have come to expect from us. Every property we manage is treated as though it were our own, because we understand what is at stake for the owners who trust us with it.

Meet the Team
Sharon received her NC Real Estate Brokers License in 2004. She is an active member of the NAPRM (Nation Association of Residential Property Managers). She has worked with Southern Properties Rentals since 2014. Sharon received her Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from The University of Texas in San Antonio. After PCSing to Pope AFB in 2000 with her husband, Sharon began working in the Property Management industry. Sharon brings her experience of the local area, her marketing expertise, and knowledge of property management laws and procedures. Sharon spends her workday listing rental homes, negotiating lease agreements, conducting Move-Out/Move-in inspections and visiting with homeowners needing Property Management Services. Sharon and her husband, who retired from the Air Force in 2010, have decided to make North Carolina their home.
Originally from England, Lauren brings a unique perspective and a warm, down-to-earth approach to our property management team. She became a licensed real estate professional in 2019 and also has an educational background in elementary education—experience that has helped shape her patience, communication skills, and ability to handle just about anything that comes her way!
As a military spouse for approximately 15 years, she understands firsthand the transitions and challenges that often come with military life. That experience gives her a special appreciation for the military families and property owners we serve.
When she’s not busy keeping things running smoothly, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and being outdoors—as long as the North Carolina heat is cooperating!
Having grown up in the Fort Bragg area as the daughter of an Army service member and later marrying a member of the Navy, Kara has a strong connection to both our local community and the military families who call it home.
She became a licensed real estate professional in 2018, bringing valuable real estate knowledge and experience to her role as Repairs & Maintenance Coordinator. Kara works closely with property owners, tenants, and trusted vendors to help coordinate maintenance needs and keep repairs moving efficiently.
Her local roots, real estate background, and firsthand understanding of military life make her a valuable part of our property management team.
With a lifetime of moving and adapting to new places, Mandie brings a unique perspective to property management in her role as a site manager. As the daughter of two U.S. Air Force veterans and the wife of a retired Army servicemember, she understands firsthand the challenges that come with military life and relocation. Having moved more than 30 times and lived overseas for 10 years—including time working in both Italy and Japan—she appreciates the importance of dependable service, clear communication, and attention to detail.
Mandie is passionate about helping others and takes pride in serving both clients and her community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful family, including her children and seven grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, pickleball, volleyball, disc golf, painting, paddle boarding, and traveling whenever she gets the opportunity. She also serves on community committees and is always looking for ways to make a positive impact.
Her caring nature, strong work ethic, and commitment to serving others make her a valued member of the Southern Properties Rentals team.
